EXPLORE SKIATHOS IN 7 DAYS
1st day
Arrival at the “Holiday House” complex which is 5′ from the airport and 10′ from the city center. Once you have settled in the room, you can rent your car, or rent a car (moto or ATV) through our intermediary (but also take advantage of a free car, motorbike or ATV offer) From European Cars & Moto, at great rates, start your morning excursion to one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of the island, such as Kanapitsa and Vromolimnos. Almost all beaches are organized and you can enjoy food & refreshing cocktails.
For the first night, we recommend the old port. Just ten minutes away is Skiathos Town with its many restaurants, ouzo, cafes and bars.
2nd Day
You will definitely spend a day in the area of Koukounaries with it’s homonymous beach and Strofilia lagoon.
Lake Strofilia is a natural wetland with an area specially designed for animals where you will find many migratory birds.
The sandy beach of Koukounaries, with a blue flag, is surrounded by a lush pine forest.
Nearby is the beach of Agia Eleni with its crystal clear waters where you can take in one of the most beautiful sunsets as you are in the westernmost part of the island.
On the road to Mylos there are places for you to go and have dinner or have a drink.
3rd Day
You should definitely visit the Holy Monastery of the Annunciation.It is of great historical importance,since it was used as a base and refuge during the Greek Revolution.
At the Monastery you can enjoy your coffee, traditional spoon sweets as well as many local produce and traditional herbs.
Next up is Kastro, a beach on the north side of the island near the place where the inhabitants of Skiathos used to find refuge from pirates. It is also one of the places where the film “Mamma Mia” was shot.
4th Day
The island’s boat tour is one of the most interesting excursions. The beach of Lalaria will amaze you with its pebbles and the rock with the opening. However you can also opt for a shorter excursion to some of the northern beaches that are not accessible by car.
5th Day
Take a chance and arrange a tour around Skiathos.Visit Skopelos and Alonissos,where you will find the famous church of Agios Ioannis,which was also part of the “Mamma Mia” shooting.
6th Day
Relax on a beach like Little Banana or Agia Eleni, if you haven’t already, where you can enjoy a swim, relax with yoga, sup, and enjoy water sports in idyllic landscapes. You can also organize small excursions by boat only for you and your partner.
We suggest you go for a stroll in the cultural center of Skiathos,Bourtzi,in the afternoon.There is an open theater that often hosts many art events.The city at night ,with the starry sky, is captivating.
7th Day
In the center of the island once lived one of the most well-known Greek writers,Alexander Papadiamandis(1851-1911).Visit his house and travel back to the time when the great writer lived.
Stroll through the traditional shops in Chora,enjoy shopping for souvenirs-gifts along with the magnificent city view from the clock of Agios Nikolaos church.
You can rent your motorbike or atv at European Cars Moto.You will also be provided with maps and information about many other beaches,taverns and restaurants to visit,as well as the places that you should better avoid.
